A good neighbor is just like a best friend. They help when their best friend is in need. For example, if your best friend is hungry but she is short on money and she couldn't afford to buy the food, it would be nice if you buy their food for them. A good neighbor does not only cling to one person though. A good neighbor does good towards everyone. They help when someone is need and they be there when someone is in trouble. Best friends and good neighbors are very much similar. I know I am a good neighbor as well as a good friend. My weakness is being kind. However, it doesn't feel to ecstatic for someone to take advantage of that. They will call you all type of names like "their little puppet" just to put you below zero. It okay though because the people that do not use people for the wrong reasons will gain so much in life and it doesn't have to be materialistic. Why can't people just be good neighbors? Its sad when people, especially the ones that you care about, think that you are doing nice things for them just because they want something. Why can't us good neighbors, as well as good friends be categorized as kind?

Is it ever alright to steal?
That is a magnificent question. In my opinion, it depends on the situation. It does remind me of how back then, the slaves had to steal in order for their families to survive. In a situation like this, I believe it is okay to steal. If someone is less fortunate to buy or grow something to eat for them and their family, then its a life or death situation. These people simply chose to live, and I think it is okay to live.
On the other hand, it is not good to steal. Some people steal for pleasure. They steal just because they like stealing, and it puts a bad influence among the younger ones who look up to them. Another reason why people steal is for drugs. I have seen many people steal and even kill to get this little bag of white powder or a bag of weed. They rather steal to shoot up then get their lives together. I don't like to see people to steal for the wrong reasons. Monday, April 20, 2009
What is your favorite song and why?
I really don't have a favorite song to choose because there so many awesome songs out there. However for this blog, my favorite song will be "Video" by India Arie. India Arie is also a soul singer. I chose this song because she talks about how unique she is to the world. She explicitly explains what she thinks her meaning is on this Earth.
Like her, I do believe that I am more than what I wear and my mind exceeds my appearance. It also explains how materialistic things aren't need to have a jubilant life. I am not a materialistic person. I rather work with what I have, then buy something to work with. Power to India Arie for being her natural self. Because of her and my father up above, I am convinced that I am not the average young woman. If you could do whatever you wanted to right now, what would you do?

If you were the principal of a school, what would you do?

I'm glad my parents taught me...

What inspires me?
God has given me many gifts. One of them is the love of music and poetry. Music and poetry is actually my second love. I love acoustic soul and r&b. I also look up to artists like Jill Scott, Anthony Hamilton, India Aire, Mos Def, and Floetry. One of my favorite poems is by Jill Scott with Mos Def in which it is also a song called "Love Rain."Love rain down on me,on me,down on me
Love rain down on me,on me,down on me
Love rain down on me,on me,down on me
Love rain down on me,on me,down on me
Met him on a thursday, sunny afternoonCumulus clouds, 84 degrees
He was brown, deep
Said he wanted to talk about my mission
Listen to my past lives (Word?)
Took me on long walks to places where butterflies rest easy
Talked about Moses and Mumia
Reparations, blue colors, memories of shell topped adidas
He was fresh,like summer peaches
Sweet on my mind like block parties and penny candy
Us was nice and warm,no jacket,no umbrella, just warm
At night we would watch the stars
And he would physically give me each and every one
I felt like cayenne pepper,red,hot,spicy
I felt Dizzy, Sonya, heaven, and Miles between my thighs
Better than love,we made delicious
He me had,had me he
He made me tongue tied
I could hear his rhythm in my thoughts
I was his sharp, his horn section
His boom and his bip
And he was my love
Love rain down on me,on me,down on me
The rain was fallin and,and slowly and sweetly and stinging my eyes
And I could not see that he became my voodoo priest
And I was his faithful concubine
Wide open, wide, loose like bowels after collard greens
The mistake was made
Love slipped from my lips
Dripped down my chin and landed in his lap
And us became new
Now me non-clairvoyant and in love
Made the coochie easy and the obvious invisible
The rain was falling
And I couldn't see the season changing
And the vibe slipping off it's axis
Our beautiful melody became wildly staccato
The rain was falling and I could not see
That I was to be plowed and sowed and fertilized
And left to drown in his sunny afternoon
Cumulus clouds,84 degrees,melody
Love rain down on me,on me,down on me
Love rain down on me,on me,down on me

[Mos Def]
In stretched my arms towards the sky like blades of tall grass
The sun beat in between my shoulders like carnival drums
I sat still in hopes that it would help my wings grow
So then I would really be fly
And then she arrived
Like day break inside a railway tunnel
Like the new moon, like a diamond in the mines
Like high noon to a drunkard, sudden
She made my heart beat in a now-now time signature
Her skinny canvas for ultarviolet brushstrokes
She was the sun's painting
She was a deep cognac color
Her eyes sparkled like lights along the new city
She lips pursed as if her breath was too sweet
And full for her mouth to hold I said,
"You are beautiful,distress of mathematics."
I said,"For you, I would peel open the clouds like new fruit."
And give you lightning and thunder as dowry
I would make the sky shed all of its stars like rain
I would clasp the constellations around your waist
And I would make the heavens your cape
And they would be please to cover you
They would be pleased to cover you
May I please.....cover you.......
.......please........

What if everyone lived under water? Where would people live? What games would children play? What would school be like?

Isn't it fascinating to have such an imagination. Thinking "what if" sometimes can take you a long way. Like what if everyone lived under water? A subject like so, in my opinion, helps expand the mind. If everyone lived under water, i think the image would favor the film, "The Little Mermaid." However, since technology has been increasing in intelligence, we would have waterproof cars, and machinery. I think it would be interesting to have waterproof machinery and technology, especially cell phones and computers. I think people would be the same but just a little wrinkled. Since you basically need gills in order to live under water, people would probably inherit fish-like qualities. I believe the young generations become more intelligent as they come, so play time for children will be more creative. I believe that they would be able to come up with the upmost exciting game as well as jest. However, the most interesting thing will be school. School will be like any other school, but the writing style as in how assignments will be done and how food would be served is inexplicable.
What would you do if someone told you a joke that you don't think was funny?

Jokes are supposed to be hysterically hilarious. To hear a joke that is not funny at all, disgusts me. I'll try to be benevolent, and not tell them how bad their joke is. So I, haplessly, laugh at their joke to feel better. I know it’s not the best thing to do because it seems like I am being a fake. However, I don't like to hurt anyone's feelings. Really I don't care for jokes that cannot be laughed at, but if you enjoyed it, then I guess I can to. I would probably advise him or her to invest in a book of jokes. Maybe it would help them get better at their jokes, so when they approach me with another joke, it would be funny and I can laugh for real. It would be nice for both of us to have the same feelings towards one situation rather than one good and one bad feeling.
What would you do if you found a magic wand?

If I found a magic wand, there are countless things I would do. First, I would make sure every homeless person is in a comfortable home where they could live. I also would create my home into the coolest place anyone could imagine being in. My wand will only intervene with the good; not the bad. I would use my magic wand to prevent pollution and one of my main pet-peeves; littering. To tell you the truth, I will also feel powerful with a wand because I would be able to control everything with magic. Basically I will use my magic wand for change, not pleasure. I would want to appease the world. The world’s environment needs to be protected. I believe it’s important to live in a clean environment. SO GO GREEN!!!

If it were your job to decide what shows can be on t.v., how would you choose?

What would happen if everyone lived in space?
It would be so awesome if everyone lived in space. Being imaginative, everyone would have homes that looked like tall condominiums. Most homes will be outrageously large. It would be like a regular place to stay with garages and parking lots. Indoor swimming pools and virtual sports would also be available. But the only difference, is the cars would look exactly like a typical car, but with the power of a jet. There will be buses, trains, and planes for the extra far traveling. Of course transportation would be
very technological as well as with much speed. Everyhting would be computerized. High techonology would be required. As for apparel, people would not just wear material that favors aluminum foil. It would be a variety of different colors, sizes, and styles just how it is today. The only glitch is the material of apparel will be space-proof. Most likely most food will be computerized as well. You would be able to press a button, and in a matter of seconds, maybe minutes depending on the food desired, food will be provided in front of your very own eyes. Basically what is being said is that living in space wouldn't be much different than living on Earth. It seems like it will be more exciting though. What is something that really makes you angry?

The planet already have an atrocious case of pollution. Why make it even more abominable to put trash in places it shouldn't be in. Everytime I see someone litter, especially when it comes to my friends, I start fussing at them because for some odd reason, a garbage can always are nearby. Now, why is it necessary to throw trash on the ground, when it is a grabage can you can place your trash in a few feet away?

About ME!!!
Creola was painting the living room. Willie was working so she was home alone. She is 8-months pregnant now and is overwroughted about having her fourth child. When she reached down to get more paint, she realized her pants were drenched with water. So she made her way to the bathroom to check things out. "Oh Lord, my water bag is leaking" she thought to herself. So she picks up the phone to call her sister-in-law; whch is Willie's older sister. "Desi my waterbag is leaking..." "Don't panic Candy, stay calm. Just call Willie and tell him what happened. He hurried home and rushed her to the hospital. She was sent straight to the emergency room where the doctor delivered the baby. "Push Creola! Push!" was all you could hear from the room. Around 6:30p.m., the doctor announced a new baby girl born; 5 lbs 4 oz. "Deitra, I like that. Deitra Williams", Willie said. Croela corrected him. "Deitra Danielle Williams, that's right my little Dei".Friday, February 6, 2009
